Stand with Darcy in Her Cancer Journey

Product Description

At the end of March our beloved Darcy discovered a lump under her armpit. She went to get it checked out and was told on April 3rd that she has an aggressive grade 3 tumor (invasive ductal carcinoma)
She immediately scheduled an MRI and found out soon after that she has 6 more tumors (7 total) and the cancer has spread to her right lymph node. She also got genetic test results stating she has the BRCA 2 gene mutation which cause all of this (look it up for more info)

They are currently scheduling a CT scan and bone scan asap to see if it has spread anywhere else in her body. But as of now she will be starting with chemotherapy to try and shrink the tumors, and that will last for the next 3-5 months depending on what is found from the CT and bone scans. After that she will undergo a bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction followed by radiation treatment. She will also have to be on hormone suppressing medication for the next 5 years. She is getting her chemo port put in May 5th and will be starting chemo soon after that.
Luckily a lot of her medical bills will be covered but we aren’t sure quite how many yet. And there will be other out of pocket costs, rent, bills etc from missing work that she will need help with. Any donations at all will be so greatly appreciated and will help her to be able to focus on her recovery. But also all the positive thoughts and prayers mean so much!! This thing is a bitch! Let’s help her beat it!!
